Food is an absolute universal that connects people, but it is also an important way communities perform their identity.  Questions of access, responsibility, and sharing are solidified over the table. This exhibition will explore how food embodies concepts of tradition, acceptance, power, and patriotism through stories and objects from the communities of the Yellowstone River Valley. Exhibit through December 2023. Sponsored by Montana Arts Council, Cultural and Aesthetic Grant.

Our Montana Arts Council Cultural and Aesthetic Grant is funded in part by coal severance tax payments from coal mined in Montana and added to Montana’s cultural and aesthetic projects trust fund.
