Western Heritage Center - Museum Collection

Many individuals from the Crow, Northern Cheyenne tribes generously gave their time, memories and knowledge so that priceless stories could be recorded and retained before it is lost. We gratefully thank them for their efforts and give these educational resources in their honor. These interviewees shared stories from their personal and cultural histories in order to preserve this important history, educate the public, and to promote understanding. We urge our web users to approach these materials in the same spirit. We provide these resources to students, teachers, researchers, and the general public for educational purposes. To help ensure proper use of the archive, the Western Heritage Center requires a free registration process to gain access to the archive.

Terms & Conditions IN RETURN FOR ACCESS TO ARCHIVAL MATERIALS OF THE WESTERN HERITAGE CENTER (the "Materials"), THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY AGREES TO ABIDE BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS HEREOF, AND CERTIFIES THAT ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED HEREIN IS TRUE AND CORRECT. [No Reproduction Without Separate Written Permission] By permitting APPLICANT to have access to Materials, the FOUNDATION does not give APPLICANT permission to reproduce any Materials, and APPLICANT shall not reproduce any Materials except with separate written permission from the Foundation. As used herein, the term "reproduce" means using any means to download, photocopy, electronically scan, photograph, or make audio or video recordings of any Materials. [Indemnification] APPLICANT shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the FOUNDATION and its officers, agents and employees from and against any and all actions, claims, suits, losses, costs, charges, or liabilities, (including reasonable attorneys' fees), including but not limited to liability for copyright infringement, defamation (libel) or violations of any person's rights of publicity or privacy, that result from, arise out of, or otherwise relate to any use of Materials by APPLICANT.
